Find your heart in the forest,
For there it whispers between trees
Reaching up to the sky’s eternity,
There is sings among the crackling,
Brown leaves carpeting the ground
With the pine needles, moss and stone.
The heart of us all weaves through
The space between leaves,
It’s right there in a bird’s song.
We enter into the darkness of the forest
And come to places streaming with light,
And if we listen carefully enough,
There it is: the purity of being,
The source of what and who we are.
May I hear my heartbeat
In the silence all around me,
And I know that I am here,
And know how sacred it is.
