The Shrine.

It doesn’t matter
that we don’t know
what there is to find
upon entry,
that we don’t know
what it is
we see.
It is not in the seeing
or even in the knowing.
What asks to be heeded:
the knowing in the gaze,
the mind to see
without thought.
We came, we are here:
this is enough.
After all, is it not
magic that we
all seek?
